Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Diagonals December 3, 2022 by scillagrace Diagonals are leading lines. They draw your eyesight and attention toward a vanishing point. My brain is having fun with the idea of leading lines. Something like, “An aardvark, a can opener, and a Nihilist walk into a bar…”? Or maybe, “The night was dark and stormy…”. Anyway, enjoy the gallery! Thanks to Patti for hosting a great challenge and explaining and illustrating the technique so well. Visit her blog HERE. Oh I really enjoyed viewing all our photos for diagonal. 😀 😀
Great leading lines. I liked the way you used objects to lead us to the picture’s focal point.
Great photos! RE: leading lines and ‘aardvark’ etc: ( 😂 ), sooo punny.
Priscilla, I must say this is one of my favorites of all your posts. The images are wonderful and beautifully illustrated the concept. Really well done!
Thanks, Tina. You’re images of China and the mountains of Chile and Montana are literally breath-taking. I bow to your professional skill!
Wow these are stunning photos and perfect for the theme! Well done 🙂
Thank you so much, Linda! 🙂
Absolutely fabulous gallery, Priscilla. Wonderful examples of leading lines/diagonals! And thanks for the kind words, too. 😀
Thanks, Patti! Great challenge!
Fabulous photos all! You have a wonderful eye for composition. I can’t choose a favorite.
Oh, thanks! That’s very kind, Michelle!
Fabulous choices, Priscilla! Love them all – and the great variety. Smart thinking of the trees from down and up!
Priscilla…Thanks for your latest — I loved the photo of you (?) . It reminded me so much of Anne Louise…a mini reunion for me! Stay well & enjoy your Christmas. Love, Aunt Sandy
That is actually Cristina, Anne Louise’s granddaughter and Sarah’s daughter, and yes, she has quite a few characteristics of her ancestors. 🙂
