Time in a Bottle
– Jim Croce

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I’d like to do
Is to save every day ’til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I’d save every day like a treasure, and then
Again, I would spend them with you

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory of how they were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do once you find them

I’ve looked around enough to know
That you’re the one I want to go through time with

OK…now I am sobbing. I have always” felt” the love story you shared with your husband and it continues. I believe it will always continue, Priscilla. You brought tenderness to all of us today through Time in a Bottle. I am sure tears were shed as you wrote this too, and I hope to place them here offered a tiny bit of healing. You were, are so loved. Thank you.
Donna, thank you for seeing me, for listening to my story, for hugging my heart. ❤ 🙂
Well Priscilla, you certainly reached into the heart of the challenge and reminded us all to use our time well as there is always a chance there will be no tomorrow. The song was perfect for your precious images as was your closing. I know you’ve learned this one the hard way – thank you for sharing and for opening your heart for us this week.
My pleasure is in sharing the love. Thanks, Tina! ❤
Lovely photos, setting, and song.
Thanks, VJ!
Welcome
Your images, your story and your love shines through with this post Priscilla. You remind us to take time with those you love because time is not guaranteed. Take care!
Thanks, Anne! ❤
Priscilla, these are beautiful images and all very poetic. The stories you told through these photographs are very touching. Closing with your photo with your late husband and the mention of the movie Somewhere in Time was perfect.
Thanks, Egidio. Actually, the last photo is of my parents. The second-to-last one is of me and my late husband. (and I didn’t take that shot, obv!)
Sorry for my oversight.
Oh, no apology necessary. I didn’t caption the photos to indicate who was who.
Excellent. love that Croce.
Thanks! Yes, Croce is timeless. 😉
