Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Memorable Events

Ann-Christine’s challenge this week tells of memorable events from her travels through the Sahara desert in Morocco, illustrated with stunning photos. I encourage you to visit HER POST and see for yourself. My most memorable travels in the last decade have been domestic roads trips to National Parks. On one trip, I visited 11 federally protected sites – parks, monuments, and forests. They are chronicled in the page listed below my banner heading called “An American Adventure”. Here are a few of my favorite shots from that journey.

“Roads were made for journeys, not destinations.” – Confucius

been before.” – Dalai Lama

  1. The National Park system is one of the best things our country has ever done. I’ve visited many and never once been disappointed. Loved your choices for this week Priscilla – Dinosaur National is definitely on my list!

  2. Gorgeous memories, Priscilla! When I was a child I used to dream of flying to all national parks in the US, because they are magnificent and all I would need to see of the country. I dreamed they would drop me off in every one of them, and then pick me up again…Now I have you instead! Thank you!

  3. Beautiful photos, Priscilla and a wonderful idea for a road trip! I have barely begun to see the national parks and can’t wait to see more. Thanks for adding new places to my list!
