“Because the human history is the history of shoes.
The history of places where we ever tread and stand.”
~ Stebby Julionatan

First shoes barely get any wear. I love them for their innocence, their precious smallness, and all the potential of a journey in miniature, striving for growth.

A wonderful collection of images and quotes.
Thank you!
Terrific post Priscilla. Loved the little baby shoes and the truly odd shoes with individual toes. I tried on a pair of those once, and hated them!! Have you actually worn them?
Those are my sister’s shoes…she wears them hiking and everywhere! The baby shoes were my son’s. Thanks for your visit!
As always a thoughtful and beautiful post, Priscilla! Loved the baby shoes. I have tried shoes like the first ones, but could not love them. But they are surely loved by some people!
Thanks, Ann-Christine! What a fun topic and full of whimsy and history.
Yes – I like that. Whimsy and history.
I loved that last photo. You are right; worn shoes, worn out shoes, tell a great story.
🙂 These were my ex-partner’s after a few months working for the Postal Service…plus many hikes on trails.
Great images and post Priscilla! I loved the toe shoes and wonder if they are really comfortable.
My sister says they are a dream and she loves them!
😊
Great photos, great quotes. I’ve never tried ‘toed’ shoes, but they look too much like bare feet to me.
I think that’s what my sister likes about them. As a dancer and body worker, she likes to feel her feet in contact with the ground.
