I am almost stumped by Patti’s Lens-Artist Challenge this week. My photographs are largely of natural subjects, and I am not likely to be in an urban setting with a camera. However, I did have one photo come to mind…
So, definitely paint is involved…and a street…and something natural because…me. Β And yes, I moved the painted leaf because it was stuck fast. Then I took a picture of it. Does that make me a street artist?
Ooof! Believe it or not, I have seen cookbooks for road kill. Staff at the living history museum where I worked would pick up squirrels for demonstration dishes, too. Usually without the paint and in a little better condition.
I can not imagine a road crew operator painting a stripe over a dead animal a leaf is ok π
I can imagine a road crew operator who’d been on the job way too long, who was way past giving a damn. It could happen, I think.

Yeah, maybe not fair. I don’t know any road crew operators, personally. I can imagine their jobs are pretty grueling sometimes…and pretty boring other times.
I think it does. Andy Goldsworthy had better watch out!
Absolutely! You’re a street artist! This is a fun interpretation of the challenge. π π
Thanks! I guess now I have “street cred”, too!
Your ARE a street artist Priscilla! Loved your response this week!!
Thanks, Tina! I love how all these challenges are approachable from anyone’s perspective.
Your shot of the ‘painted leaf’ is a lot nicer then the one I turned into the Minnesota DOT & DNR π β€΅οΈ https://washe240347587wordpresscom.files.wordpress.com/2019/05/roadkill-helper.jpg

I am so not in Andy Goldsworthy’s league, but thanks for thinking I could be a threat!
It does, Priscilla. So brilliant, I love it!
Thanks, Amy! Another thing to put on my resume. π
