There is a fragrance that stays in your memory if you live in the Midwest. When late May comes around, it awakens on the warm breezes and carries pure, sweet delight to every inhaled breath. Yes, it’s here. Lilac season!
I love lilacs so much! I haven’t seen any around here. We tried to grow some, but they didn’t take. I’m so bummed I didn’t get to smell any this year. When I went to a place where I could, they were already done. I think it is a first for me. I won’t make that an annual thing! Next year I will make a better point not to miss them. I could almost smell your photo!
Peace and happy smells

Yes. Lovely and Unforgettable. In Queensland I resort to the honeysuckle in my garden, especially after rain!
Honeysuckle, jasmine, crab apples, orange blossoms…scents of place and memory, guaranteed to sweeten your day!
Yep. And my eyes are watering. :0)
Sentiment or allergy?
Allergy, sadly.
Sorry!

They do seem to thrive in this Midwest zone. My siblings in California don’t find them at all, and I know they miss them.
