Hi Scilla,
There is always a mental shift for me, when I actively stop wishing for snow days. I think it has to do with putting in my garden. I hope you get your wish, whatever that may be.
Hello, Victoria! Sorry, I don’t have any jacaranda photos…they don’t grow up here in Wisconsin. We do have a whole lot of lilacs, so we get our own purple rain, but without the trumpets. 😉
Best of luck on your poetry book; spent a week camping in Death Valley and driving up I395 past Manzanar to Tahoe in April of 2011…astonishing beauty all around.
We have some of the same here Scilla.. tremendous hail storm yesterday and so cold.. it’s Crazy for nearly the end of may!

Thanks, Naomi. My wishes today have more to do with happiness, kindness and peace than weather.

So beautiful. I’m looking for a similar photo for the cover of a poetry book entitled Jacaranda Rain…would you happen to have one?

Thanks for your reply…yes I guess Wisconsin wouldn’t be kind to Jacaranda…but so much beauty of its own!

Notice the boys walking up the sidewalk….in shorts. I prefer the flower petals to actual precipitation.
