I was touring the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art last month with my daughter and her partner when they stopped to rest. I loved the “artsy-fartsy” setting with lots of clean negative space – so “muse-e-yummy“! I promised them I’d use the shot in a post soon, so thank you, Ritva, for giving me a chance.

There’s something about this art form that invites you to slow down and pay attention to detail, as you would if you were walking through an exhibit or gallery. I find it calming to be focused on a single subject without the distraction of conflicting patterns and many colors, like contemplative meditation.

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” ― Leonardo da Vinci

Wonderful gallery!
Thanks!
Excellent from start to finish. Your daughter’s photo is like they belong in the art exhibit. The closing shot is fantastic.
Thanks, Egidio! My daughter is definitely a work of art. 😉
I agree with Egidio Priscilla. your daughter should frame and hang that one!
🙂 Thanks!
Wonderful choices for this challenge Priscilla. I’m just wondering about the light bulb–very creative.
Thanks, Anne – outdoor lights get very wet around here. 😉
I agree on your daughter’s photo, that is a great shot!
Thanks!
Great post, Priscilla.
Thank you!
I have to agree the first shot is what this theme is about. Excellent shot. All of them present the theme spot on, you certainly have the eye to see it and capture it. I enjoyed seeing this post.
Thanks, Ritva. I appreciate your kind words!
Wonderful examples, Priscilla! I especially love your opening photo!
Thanks, John!
I’m also a fan of the opening shot as well as the one with the leaf. All lovely.

Thanks, Janet! Hoping you’re well. 🙂
Thanks, Scilla. In three more days, my husband is done with target radiation, one of a variety of cancer treatments dating back to May of 2024. I’ll be well that day!! 😁
May you both be well!
😘
Ohhhh, that first one is stunning! Frame it! I thought the two people (daughter and company?) belonged to the museum…The leaf is also special with its interesting structure.
Thanks, Ann-Christine!
Like your gallery, that first one is great
Thank you!
Really enjoyed reading this. Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks!
