Sofia invites us to revisit Lens-Artists Challenge #20 – from 2018. Sofia has done extensive and exquisite Door photography – do visit her blog! I found another Lens-Artists Challenge on Doors from 2022. Here’s a link to my response to that one.
How has my perspective on Doors changed since then? Have I found new doors to photograph?

Yes. I have discovered even more portals. And I’ve even learned a new term – “multiverse”. I try to imagine the infinite possibilities of doors.
“The un-wanting soul sees what’s hidden.
The ever-wanting soul sees only what it wants.
Two things, one origin, but different in name, whose identity is mystery. Mystery of all mysteries, the door to the hidden.”
~ Tao Te Ching

Great doors!
Thanks!
great variety
Thanks!
I love that composition with the open archways that lead to the last doorway, Priscilla!
Thanks, John – it’s one of my favorites, too! 🙂
Your exploration of doors as portals—new and old, visible and hidden—has a subtle gravity. Imagining infinite doorways evokes how every choice, every shift in attention, opens onto a different world. The Tao Te Ching lines resonate deeply: the un-wanting soul sees what’s hidden, while the ever-wanting sees only what it wants.
This reminds me that clarity isn’t about adding more effort—it’s about releasing desire so what was quietly present becomes visible. Those doorways aren’t just frames—they’re invitations to notice what’s already shifting behind them.
Thank you for inviting us to pause at the threshold with quiet awareness.
Ah, Dink – you get me! Thanks for commenting! 🙂
I’m so happy to see your last photo again, Priscilla, I remember it well, it’s such a wonderful, peaceful image. Your first one is stunning, what a great angle!
Thanks, Sofia – that last is definitely one of my own favorites!
GREAT doors, both. Well done.
Thanks, John!
That black and white is wonderful
Thank you!
A beautiful reflection on doors as symbols of possibility and mystery. 🚪✨ The concept of the “multiverse” adds an extra layer of depth to this photo challenge. 📸🌌
