“There was a time when I was in a hurry as you are; I was like you
There was a day when I just had to tell my point of view;
I was like you
Now I don’t mean to make you frown
No, I just want you to slow down
Have you never been mellow?
Have you never tried to find a comfort from inside you?

Have you never been happy just to hear your song?
Have you never let someone else be strong?

Running around as you do with your head up in the clouds;
I was like you
Never had time to lay back, kick your shoes off, close your eyes;
I was like you

Now you’re not hard to understand
You need someone to take your hand

Have you never been mellow?
Have you never tried to find a comfort from inside you?
Have you never been happy just to hear your song?
Have you never let someone else be strong?”
~ John Clifford Farrar, songwriter

Ooooh, lovely words and photos!
Thanks, Lindy!
Perfect! Love the lyrics and your images!
Thanks!
Priscilla, the song choice and accompanying photos are excellent.
Thanks, Egidio!
What a good idea, linking your images to lyrics. Very well done as well 👏
Thanks, Steve!
Gorgeous post, Priscilla! Such a perfect song for your lovely photos. Favourite has to be the tree and feet, I love everything about it.
Thanks, Sofia! You picked a perfect theme for the summer vibe. 🙂
🙂
Beautiful photography, Priscilla. I knew the song, but I couldn’t put the melody to the words. The Internet reminded me that it was one of my favorite Olivia Newton-John songs, and I immediately recalled the melody!
My favorite is the yellow daffodil.
Thanks, John. Yes, this is a song that I sang so much with the radio back in the day. The entire thing lives in my memory still.
Isn’t it funny how we never forget our favorite songs Priscilla?! You’ve put the words to images perfectly.
Thanks, Tina – yes, I have so many stuck in my head forever. 🙂
Terrific post, Priscilla! They’re all great, I can’t pick a favorite, but they do induce feelings of mellow. The camping scene is great. The feet on the tree got a chuckle out of me. Thanks for remembering a wonderful Olivia Newton-John song.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Very relaxing photos. Love it.
I’m glad! 🙂
