“We too can repair our cracks with gold And glow again. Crazed by life, More beautiful than ever before.” ― Scott Hastie
Glowing moments, those incandescent peaks of joy and warmth, are precious in the present and heart-breaking in the past. I suppose the trick is not to look back on lingering light so much that you miss the approaching sunrise.
Thank you, Siobahn of Bend Branches, our guest host this week, for a beautifully luminous challenge!
I like all the images but really love that opening one with the boat, flow of the water and glow&glisten ((and the quote from you was good…. not to look back on lingering light so much that you miss the approaching sunrise))
I like how you interspersed glowing smiles in with beautiful scenes. The first picture really captured the glowing moment theme well. The last, nearly-monochromatic, image was so peaceful!
Beautiful message in both pictures and narrative. Your statement, “I suppose the trick is not to look back on lingering light so much that you miss the approaching sunrise,” says it all.
Oh, those photos of beaming dads with kids on their shoulders. I’ve never been able to put those away, but now they more often make me smile–sometimes without tears.
I know this “I suppose the trick is not to look back on lingering light so much that you miss the approaching sunrise.” has not been easy for you in regards to Jim but may be essential for you going forward.
Particularly love the misty trees x
Marvelous loving family images Priscilla. And I absolutely loved your closing thought. You are SO right but oh what a difficult lesson to learn.
Thanks, Tina! And I am also trying to learn that lesson, every day, every hour.

Thanks! There’s something about the sparkle of sunlight on water that will always move my soul to joy. 🙂
🙂
Your final words bring it al together, Priscilla. I love the expressions on the faces of the man and the little boy. Have a nice Sunday.
Thanks, Donna! That’s my late husband and my middle daughter. 🙂
I wondered… A favorite photo I am sure.
Indeed!

Thanks, Siobhan! Your theme was both glorious and quietly warm…a whole spectrum of glowing. 🙂

Thanks, Helen. Yes, that’s my bell of mindfulness to come back to the Present Moment. 🙂
Love and hugs my friend xxx
