“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.” – George Eliot

Love these colors! Do you still live in Wisconsin? We have a chance to visit on the back side of a trip to Chicago. Maybe Door County. Will leaves be turning October 11? Or will we miss them?
I moved to Oregon one year ago. The colors should be perfect in Door County October 11. That’s always my favorite time: the first two weeks of October. If you don’t want to go that distance from Chicago, check out the Arboretum at UW Madison or the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL.
A very unusual post for you Priscilla – the images are lovely as always but I rather missed the thoughts that typically accompany them! That said, I loved the beautiful colors you brought us this week.
Wonderful autumn pictures.
Such a beautiful colorful fall selections. These maple leaves are just gorgeous. Breathtaking images of these trees!
Thanks, Amy! Years in Wisconsin set me up perfectly for this challenge.
Great selection of autumn colors and the quote about the Bird seeking successive autumns was a perfect lead in….

Thanks for the tip!!! Hoping to see fall color in some, if not all, of those areas.
Awesome photos of brilliant Fall colors!
Thanks, Anne!
😊
WOW. Great photos, great colors. Well done.
Thanks, John!

Thanks, Tina! To be honest, rather busy this week. My daughter and sister are both visiting!
What a lovely set: the colours, the pumpkins, the herons, the butterfly. Not to say, the people.
Thanks! Those are actually Sandhill Cranes, not herons. 🙂
Thanks. I should have noticed they are larger
Gorgeous gallery, Priscilla! I can imagine standing on that hilltop – what a view!
Thanks, Ann-Christine! Autumn is definitely the season that nudges me constantly to get out the camera and catch the last colors.
If they come – I feel the same. But some years they do not come as strongly as others.
