Mountaintop experiences give you a spiritual perspective. The sky is bigger; the minutiae of the earth is even smaller.
Humility and awe meet you at the top of your climb.
The view (and the climb!) is breathtaking.
And the opportunity to stay atop a while and ponder your place on the crust of Earth is a special reward.
Seek higher ground. It’s good for your soul.
Breathtaking. Where were these taken?
Your comment took me by surprise because I didn’t know I’d hit Publish! The first is looking over frozen Devil’s Lake in WI. The second is a Pinnacles National Park in CA. The third is atop the basilica at Holy Hill in WI, and the fourth is in the Jemez Mountains in NM.
Thank you–all places to put on my bucket list!
These are beautiful pictures! Love the one of the changing tree colors!
Right here in Wisconsin!
The fall leaves landscape photo is spectacular.
All hikes are exhilarating and then you are compensated with an amazing view.
I live in an area of amazing glacial landforms – eskers and drumlins and kames, oh my! Full of glacial till, heavily wooded and hard to farm, the place makes excellent hiking.
It looks that way!
