Hi! This is great, I love your posts! Btw, sorry to disturb you, I’m new to WP do you think you could check out my blog and leave a comment. I’d love some help from someone more experienced as you! Keep it up!
Thanks! I’m relatively new to the digital camera and still translating manual knowledge to the computer prompts. I think I’m finally getting better at knowing how to control that depth of field.
Amazing photos Priscilla. I didn’t look at them all up close, though the butterfly in “vivid and the lady bug of flowers 4 are stunning. Also, the mayapple…thanks for sharing all these images of nature.
Your photos make it patently obvious that a macro lens isn’t necessary for stellar close ups. I take lots of mine with my iPhone, which doesn’t have a macro lens, either, although I did get a little kit with macro lens that can go on my phone. Usually, though, I just use the phone as is.
How did I miss that? Thank you–for some reason I thought that was a family picture puzzle when I saw it out of context. I love the original story, too.
Some of my favorite memories are of my family doing old jigsaw puzzles together…the wooden ones my grandmother bought that always smelled like her beach cottage.

Done!
Excellent photos here. I esp like the ladybug on the lavender flower. Very nice control of depth of field.

as to controlling depth of field, it sure looks like you’re getting it. 🙂
Thanks!
wow! I think the puzzle is my favorite
It does rather resemble a canyon… 🙂

My pleasure!
Also, if you did look at the mayapple closely, you’d see a small spider near the center.

janet
I am hoping to treat myself to a zoom lens so that I can get better photos of wildlife that I can’t get close to!
I especially love that puzzle picture….
Thanks! Did you see the little story that it illustrates? https://scillagrace.com/2015/02/14/a-little-story-about-loving-yourself/

Great photographs!
Thank you so much!
A fantastic selection. I particularly like the jigsaw!
That seems to be the popular favorite. One of my favorites, too.
Hi- I love nature shots but I especially like your the missing puzzle piece, Scilla. Clever. Nice post.
Thanks, Jane. Yup, that shot is clearly a unique and interesting one.
