I’ve rummaged through my archives and found some treasures. A small shoe my son wore long ago. A green-eyed friend I once spent Christmas with…

…a glass of champagne from my daughter-in-law…

…some bumpy rope from a three mast Great Lakes schooner…

…my sister’s camera…

…a soft waterfall…

…a round nail-head in an old fencepost…

…and some beautiful jewelry that resembles my daughter’s work.

Great response Priscilla! I especially liked your son’s shoe, your green eyed cat and Dan Fogelberg’s lyrics.
Thanks, Anne! I haven’t been on a scavenger hunt for ages…usually part of a sleepover party, in my experience. So where’s the party?
Can you make it down to Citrus Heights for a sleepover. I have the bed waiting.
It’s an 8 hour drive, so not today!
Well done! I like the rope and the nail especially. Were those taken with 35mm camera?
Thanks! Yes, with my Canon Rebel T3i
Wonderful collection of images for the challenge. My favorite is your son’s shoe.
Thanks, yes, that’s one of my favorites of all time. 🙂

I’m flattered! So glad you could join us! 🙂 And what a fun treasure to find – what would you make with those metallic flakes?
Priscilla, I love your examples, and the reminder of Dan Fogelberg’s work. My favorite is that nail in a fence post. The detail is exquisite.
Thanks, John. 🙂
What a lovely way to end your port Priscilla! All of your choices are spot on. Forced to choose I’d go with the little show and that beautiful green-eyed cat! (although the jewelry at the end is also a strong contender!
post, not port 😡
Thanks, Tina! I have a sentimental attachment to most of these treasures. Especially my son’s shoe and Hunter, the cat. 🙂
So many treasures and memories! Lovely!
Thanks! 🙂
What a wonderful treasure collection you found, Priscilla. Beautiful gallery!
Thanks, Egidio!
Especial love the last lines in your post. Think we can all relate to that. Thank you. Especially loved the nail in the fence post and if you ask me there seems to be a piece of a heart etched in the wood, making it that much better.
And ooooohhhh the memories attached to that little shoe…..
I love that you see a heart in the wood grain – love is everywhere!
The jewellery is awesome but my favourite has to be the first one. The memories, I have them too…
Those little shoes get you right in the heart strings, don’t they? 🙂
Absolutely.
Nostalgia can be a good feeling to have, and your post conveys it well. I was unfamiliar with that Fogelberg song, but I’m glad you included it. The waterfall and the nail are my favorite images. Overall, a very nice response to Anne’s challenge.
Thanks, Joanne!

These are all lovely Priscilla.
